The console war in Japan
In many ways, this is the perfect picture to describe the console situation in Japan. The Nintendo Wii and Ds are both sold out, Sony (not really but metaphorically speaking) is trying to get people to buy their PS3 and the Xbox 360 is no where to be seen. I’d say you couldn’t craft a more perfect picture!
This is also the scene we saw in America during the christmas season, it was just as hard to find a DS this year as it was the year before, and of course impossible to find a Wii.
The main difference is that, unfortunately, the Xbox360 has a market in America and doesn’t look like it’ll be losing that anytime soon.
Oh well, Nintendo is king again and I have no doubt that Sony will recover and place second. (Ok, maybe a little doubt)
