The Wonderful World of the Gundampilotspaz

Video games based on movies tend to suck, true. They also usually stick to big summer action flicks released near the movie (or DVD release). Crave Entertainment is looking to break from the norm on all of these points with the announcement of Napoleon Dynamite. The game will be released for PSP and Nintendo DS and include all of the film’s popular characters: Kip, Uncle Rico, Pedro, Tina the llama, and the title man himself, Napoleon Dynamite. He’s pretty good with a bo staff, we hear.

There’s basically no info on the game so far, nor when it might be released. Crave’s senior vice president of product planning and business development, Mark Burke, did have this to say about the project:

“Napoleon Dynamite is one of the great cult classics of the past decade. It’s one of those films that has great memorable lines and characters, and we expect that fans of the movie will really like the game.”

Now Crave… don’t be freakin’ idiots! We’ll be watching this one.
