On August 21, 2007, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release Serenity (Collector’s Edition) on DVD. The Joss Whedon smash hit, based on his hit series Firefly, will feature two discs worth of bonus materials and extra features, and will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) of $26.98.The Serenity (Collector’s Edition) DVD will feature the following bonus materials:Disc 1

Just looking at the cover made my mouth start to water. Serenity is pretty much my favorite movie at this point; and Firefly as a whole is some of the best Science Fiction that exists.

Now if they came out with a box set of the movie with all these extras and the show with similar bonus… I’d pay almost anything for that. I’m sure they’ll do it too, in a few years where they can justify having the fans buy the show and movie for a second (and third) time.

But at $27 this is a great deal and I’ll have to pick it up when it comes out.
