Where Fantasy Meets Architecture

There’s something reminiscent of an alien landscape in the towering silver whorls of architect Frank Gehry’s Experience Music Project in Seattle. And, really, who doesn’t see spaceships when looking at I.M. Pei’s Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland?
What [...]

Cory Doctorow’s “See no evil?”

In recent postings concerning the LiveJounral fiasco I made constant comments concerning the idea of a free and strong Internet. There are two sides to the argument; of course; but I can only see it one way. The way some see it, the internet is like anything else and should be censored with rules by [...]

Sylar as Spock?

Zachary Quinto, who plays the menacing Sylar in NBC’s hit series “Heroes” could be in the running to play one of the icons of science-fiction television and movies–Mr. Spock.

Yeah sure, it’s probably “art” more than it’s a real “amnesty bin”–but it says something that upon seeing this picture my heart skipped a beat. It’s like seeing adorable puppies in a pound. I instinctively wanted to grab [...]

The idea is to take PC gaming and give it its own show, away from those filthy, limelight-hogging little consoles. Katherine Schoback, of GDC parent company CMP Technology:

PC Game On celebrates PC [...]
